We are working with leading  research institutions in Canada to originate commercial opportunities in medical technology. For example we have partnered with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Innovations at University of Toronto, and McGill University and Univalor in Montreal.

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (www.sunnybrook.ca) is one of Canada’s premiere research and teaching hospitals. It is affiliated with the University of Toronto. Sunnybrook’s three largest capital projects are unique in Canada; the Breast Cancer Research Centre, the Imaging Research Centre for Cardiac Intervention and the Regenerative Tissue Engineering Centre.

Innovations at University of Toronto (www.innovations.utoronto.ca) is the technology transfer office of Canada’s largest University. It promotes the commercialization of technology developed at its laboratories and its 10 affiliated teaching hospitals. University of Toronto’s medical school is North America’s largest with the third most highly cited faculty in the world.

University of Waterloo (www.uwaterloo.ca) is a national leader in the transfer of ideas and technology to the private sector. More Canadian high-tech and knowledge-based spin-off companies trace their roots to the University of Waterloo than to any other school.

Mount Sinai Services Inc. (www.mountsinaiservices.com) is a for profit laboratory services company offering a full range of sophisticated clinical trial assay services to the pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics industries.

University of Western Ontario (www.uwo.ca) is home to one of the top medical research faculties in North America. It’s Robarts Research Institution is a world leader in advanced medical imaging and neuroscience.

York University (www.yorku.ca) has extensive basic and applied research strengths in biology, proteomics, genomics, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, engineering and software design. York University is home to the state-of-the-art York Centre for Research in Mass Spectrometry and the York Centre for Vision Research.

McGill University (www.techtransfer.mcgill.ca) is home to a world renowned medical research faculty. It has strengths in neuroscience, nano technology, bioengineering and cancer. McGill researchers have launched over 50 spin-off companies over the last 10 years.

Univalor (www.univalor.ca) is the technology transfer office for Université de Montréal, Le Polytechnique de Montréal, and the 10 primarily French speaking affiliated teaching hospitals in Montréal.
